DESCRIPTION:For Spring Break this year\, we are going to Holden Village to serve\, learn\, play and pray together! If you know you’re coming on the trip\, sign up here! \nThrough a journey of trains\, boats and buses\, we arrive at this former mining village turned retreat center and intentional Christian community in the heart of the Cascades Mountains in Washington state\, and just kilometers from the Pacific Crest Trail. We’ll be serving alongside community members in the work of the village that week\, as well as learning from them about abundant hospitality and building community. Though Holden Village is the heart of this trip\, the journey there and back itself has produced an abundance of gifts for former travelers. Cost to you is $400 dollars\, and scholarships are available. The remaining cost will be covered by generous donors to LCM.

DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce that this spring semester\, our community is having weekly Bible Studies/small groups and we hope you commit to joining one!  \nGod created us for connection and belonging\, and to find these in God\, certainly\, but to also find connection and belonging amongst each other. Our community has blossomed and grown this past year and we want to offer a chance for you all to connect meaningfully\, to get to know good and interesting people\, to pray together\, and to explore and wrestle with scripture with other students! \nTo join a Bible Study\, fill out the form below and our Bible Study leaders will be in touch with you! Some of these will be staff led and some will be led by student leaders. While the exact times aren’t decided yet\, they will likely meet sometime between 5 & 7pm. \n\nMonday Evenings (Mpls)\nTuesday Evenings (St. Paul)\nTuesday Evenings (Mpls)\nThursday Evenings (Queer Bible Study — for queer & questioning students\, Mpls)\n\n“Back to Basics” Small Group w/ Pastor Kate\nSundays @ noon | Grace Peace Chapel | Sign up by Sat.\, January 25!\nThis semester\, Pastor Kate is going to lead a “Back to the Basics” small group — this will be a chance for folks (whether you’re brand new to this tradition or have been a part of it your whole life) to be in conversation with one another\, to explore some basic building blocks of the Lutheran perspective on the Christian life\, and to ask a lot of great questions. The goal isn’t to offer a college level class\, but instead to give you some tools and frameworks to continue growing in faith. A few folks in our community are interested in exploring confirmation or baptism\, and this small group will prepare you for that step. If you are already baptized and confirmed\, or if you have no intention of exploring either of those – this group is also for you!

Join us for a restful weekend as we head to beautiful Luther Crest Camp near Alexandria\, MN. \nWe put this retreat in October\, because that’s the time when we all need to catch our breath\, and connect with ourselves\, with God\, and with others. We have lots of open space for you to do what you need to rest\, and just enough formalized time so you can get to know people you don’t know well. The camp is beautiful and Pastor Kate’s pumpkin pancakes on Saturday are not to be missed! Scholarships are available! Study bugs take note – there will be a good balance of structured and unstructured time (with plenty of time to get homework done)! Hope you can join the fun!
