Welcome Class of 2030!

Looking back at my own freshman year, I remember how easy it was to get lost in the sheer scale of everything, like the massive lecture halls, the endless sea of faces, and the pressure to have your entire future figured out by week one. If I could give my freshman self any advice, it would be to breathe, take it one day at a time, and actively seek out smaller pockets of community where you can truly anchor yourself.
For me, that anchor was Lutheran Campus Ministry (LCM). College introduces a whirlwind of change, but LCM quickly became a grounded, welcoming space where I could completely drop my guard. What I love most about this community is that it isn’t a place where you have to show up with all the answers. It’s a space of hospitality, deep conversations, incredible worship, and genuine people who support you exactly as you are. It completely eased my transition into college by giving me a tight-knit family within the University of Minnesota.
As you start this journey, please know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. We are so incredibly glad you are here, and our doors at LCM are always open to you.
Welcome home!
